Designed by Sophia Yung, the Makizushi modular furniture system draws inspiration from the traditional Japanese food, which we all love to hate. It has been designed in such a way that in one furniture system you can attain a carpet, a stool, a pillow and a coffee table. All you have to do is manipulate. Take for example the bamboo mat, which is used for easy storage. You can use the same mat as a carpet when you release it. Each piece of sushi is a stool, but it can also become a coffee table by stacking two up. And, the stuff inside the sushi becomes a pillow.
